The meeting consists of three full days from Tuesday May 21 (lunch time) through Friday May 24 (lunch time), 2024. The meeting is a forum to discuss scientific work, to network, and to initiate future projects in any Soft Matter fields.

Free of charge access to EUSMI facilities is now again possible thanks to the integration of EUSMI into RIANA, Research Infrastructure Access in NAnoscience & nanotechnology.

The Marie-Skłodowska Curie Acton (MSCA) COFUND project “Global Neutron Scientists” (GNeuS) is offering 19 full-time postdoc positions for 24 months.

After a three-year break, there will once again be an EU-funded network that provides access to cutting-edge scientific infrastructure for the soft matter community. RIANA (Research Infrastructure Access in Nanoscience & Nanotechnology) is the title of a funding proposal submitted by a consortium of 69 infrastructure providers which was recently approved.

Prof. Jan K. G. Dhont, coordinator of ESMI and EUSMI and former director of Forschungszentrum Jülich's Insitute for Biomacromolecular Systems and Processes has been awarded an honorary doctor of the Faculty of Science Lund University (Sweden). The official presentation of the award to the former director of the FZ-Jülich Institute for Biomacromolecular Systems and Processes is scheduled for May in Lund.

The SoftComp/EUSMI Annual Meeting 2023 will take place in Ancona, Italy, and it consists of three full days from 23 through 25 May 2023.

Forschungszentrum Jülich (FZJ), Technical University Munich (TUM) and Helmholtz-Zentrum Hereon (Hereon), partners at the Heinz-Maier-Leibnitz Zentrum (MLZ), are running the Marie-Skłodowska Curie Acton (MSCA) COFUND project “Global Neutron Scientists” (GNeuS) that trains young neutron scientists through the establishment of a well-structured post-doctoral research programme.

LS Instruments develops advanced scientific instruments for analytical applications in life sciences, food, personal care, and many more. Rising investments in the pharmaceutical industry, increasing regulatory requirements for medical products, and the recent successful launch of vaccines based on mRNA technology related to COVID-19 have led to a global increase in demand for high-precision nanoparticle analytical solutions. In this context, LSI is enlarging their team and looking for reinforcement.

The UCCS of the University of Lille (France) is announcing the third offering of the Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) “Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), a Compass to Nanoworld”. This MOOC hosted on the FUN platform is now open for free registration.

The joint EUSMI/SoftComp Annual Meeting 2018 will take place at the Hotel Zora-Adriatiq in Primosten, Croatia. The meeting will consist of a scientific programme designed to foster scientific discussion and networking among the SoftComp and the EUSMI community. The Lund Institute of Advanced Neutron and X-ray Science (LINXS) is organizing a thematic workshop entitled Dynamics of Biological Macromolecules which will be held in Lund, Sweden on June 4-6, 2018 (lunch to lunch). Our goal is to bring together leading experts in the field of macromolecular dynamics, with a particular focus on neutrons and X-rays, but also complementary techniques including NMR and computer modeling.
