The SoftComp/EUSMI Annual Meeting is dedicated to gather a large community of European soft matter scientists for the discussion of scientific results, planning future collaborations and professional networking. Despite the fact that the EU funding for EUSMI was terminated end of 2021, we are striving to continue this series of inspiring joint meetings. We hope this can be a first step towards a self-sustained continuation of the EUSMI network and potentially the services provided.
This year’s meeting 2022 is planned to take place as a live event in Salerno, Italy from May 17 through 19, 2022.
Besides two topical sessions on "Soft interfaces" and "Active matter and microhydrodynamics" and general sessions scovering all SoftComp research areas, the meeting will comprise the following plenary contributions:

- Prof. Julia Yeomans (Oxford University) “Modelling the dynamics of confluent cell layers“
- Prof. Valeria Garbin (TU Delft) “Structuring colloidal systems by ultrasound-activated deformable inclusions“
- Prof. Walter Kob (University of Montpellier) “On Simulations of Gels and Nanocomposites"
