After a break of more than two years European soft matter scientist will have access again to cutting edge facilities for characterization and computer modelling required for their research. The service will be available as EUSMI has joined the RIANA initiative. RIANA is the new research infrastructure project for nanoscience and nanotechnology which is funded by the EU since March 1, 2024. It is integrating facilities from seven European networks of top-level research infrastructures. This provides the soft matter community with access to the broadest possible variety of scattering, microscopy and spectroscopy techniques as well as to a high-performance computer facility for numerical simulations.
The RIANA kick-off meeting will take place March 14 and 15, 2024 at DESY and first user proposals will be welcomed during summer.
