Research in nanoscience and nanotechnology is critical to sustainability worldwide. Advances in nanoscience and nanotechnology cannot be achieved without the use of research infrastructures (RI). Therefore, RIANA brings together 7 European networks - including EUSMI - of top RIs, to offer external users the most advanced techniques for nanofabrication, processing/synthesis, characterization, and simulation capabilities. Access to 69 infrastructures will be coordinated through a single point of contact and enabled by a comprehensive science and innovation service provided by experienced scientists, facility experts and highly skilled young scientists. The core of RIANA is designed to attract experienced and new users from academia or industry to foster their promising scientific ideas.
Currently, the consortium is preparing the Grant agreement together with the EU. It is expected that from March 2024, the EUSMI community will also have the opportunity to benefit from the diverse research options offered by RIANA.
