This flexible camera based widefield epi-fluorescence rheo-imaging system complements the confocal setup.
It is suitable for samples which are too dim to be imaged with the confocal system and/or require faster frame rates. Furthermore it can be combined with a rheometer using a counter-rotating base plate to image samples close to their zero velocity plane.
Alternatively, it can be used with a custom Couette cell or used to monitor the sample interface during interfacial rheology
experiments.
